Well they are processing…

Hello my Dragon hearts,

So yeah…. I found out that KDP has a page limit of 500 pages for hardcovers. Even if I took the bonus content out, it would make no difference. Therefore, I have to go to Ingramsparks. I will not lie, I’m not fond of them for certain things, but there’s not much in the way of options. They are the cheapest next to Amazon, so it is what it is. I was excited to do a dustcover but it takes too much time to deal with a template so sadly, no dust cover. It would have made it twice than what I wanted to charge anyway. It’s will be set at $30.99 for the hardcover. The paperback, sadly, is going to cost $22.99. The ebook is $10.99 or free if you are signed up for Kindle Unlimited. I am super frustrated, especially compared to Eragon and some of Sanderson’s paperback books, but of course, this is self-publishing. I tried to keep it as low as I could, but I have to make money in order to get the rest of the series out. I will make sure at events to sign every copy, and each hardcover will get an Anglii postcard and a bookmark, while the paperbacks get a bookmark and sticker.

The other hang up is that I am stressing over the map. The ebook is fine, but it’s the print copies that have me worried. With Ingramspark, there is a 3 day wait for a digital proof. So I won’t get it probably until Saturday. I am praying with all my might it’ll be okay. Because the phyical copies maybe delayed if it doesn’t work. On the upside, the ebook should be just fine, so if the physical copies get delayed, at least the ebook will be there to read.

In some happier news, I will be doing Applefest! I’ll be at the library selling Destiny and Never alone on Saturday, October 4^th! I called in and lucked out at being the first one to call! So I get first pick of a good spot. Nice to have a small win. I will also be at the festival of the books in Oil City again this year, and it will be the first event I do with the 2^nd edition of Destiny!
