Petfest was great! Sold 11 books, 3 more than last year! As well as a few magnets and a bookmarks! So happy!
The next event is Applefest! Will be at the front of the Franklin Public Library! I will be with fellow writers Tina and T.A. Sheldon. Tina Rischlynn sells romance, while Sheldon sells dark romance urban fantasy (werewolves).
Christmas is coming, so we will have plenty of merch like book-themed cups and my bookmarks to buy!
I will also be doing a Kindle Deal for Never alone and Destiny. From September 28th, 2026 to October 5th, 2026 both will 50% off. Never alone will be $3.99 (normal price $7.99) and Destiny will be $4.99 (normal price $10.99).
Facebook restrictions
Facebook has kicked small people like me in the gut again. This time it’s link sharing. Pages are now only allowed to share TWO EXTERNAL LINKS per MONTH. If pages want to share more, we’ll have to give up a leg and kidney to pay for it.

I’m going to have to be more creative with my posting. I am looking into Substack and Rumble for alternatives.
And before anyone blows a blood vessel over me going to Rumble, yes it is mostly political stuff, but I have found plenty that isn’t and I refuse to put my eggs all in one basket at this point. YouTube is hurting creators (especially Animators) so I need to have backups and so forth. You don’t have to use Rumble if you don’t want to, but I have few choices. I never cared for twitter. Tumblr is dead, and there’s nothing on this earth that will make me use Bluesky. Never.
Most of this won’t be coming until my new office is finished, and that probably won’t be until January.
Please, to help, sign up for blog updates to help me keep trying and sharing my books. It’s the best way to help.
Quest
Map is being cleaned up and made pretty, done with the hand notes, now on to the read aloud software editing. Summary is completed and ready as well. Will post it for Applefest.
Pray for my poor brain/soul as I do this. It’s so hard with no beta readers or editors, so I just pray I can get this together and cleaner, at least than when I published Destiny the first time around.
TBR Pile: Small Wonder by Ross Montgomery
Finally finished a book in my TBR pile. It’s Small Wonder, a middle-grade book in the same vein as the Ranger’s Apprentice novels.
It’s about a young boy named Tick and his journey to keep his little brother Leaf safe as they rush to the King’s Keep as their kingdom is being invaded. I picked up on a small plot point near the middle of the book, and I was happy to be right when it was revealed at the end.
It’s a well-written standalone story. I haven’t read a good read like this in a long while, so I’m happy I picked it up. I got the pretty-printed edges edition from Barnes & Noble. It is a great book for both younger and older readers, a “clean” story with action and adventure. A 10/10.
So now onto the next read from the pile, I’m going to go digging through the bookshelves in the family library for it, I have a idea of what I want to read next, but if I can find it of course. Or don’t find something else to read first.
That’s all for now. I will post the summary for Quest for the Magic here the week of Applefest. Also if you were wanting to grab the Kindle versions for Never alone and/or Destiny make sure to grab them next week at half off!
Lots of Love,
Dragonninjawriter
